What is Startup OLÉ about?

Startup Olé is a tech-event held annually since 2014. The attendees range from investors, corporates, mid-caps, entrepreneurs, accelerators/incubators, media outlets, governments/public admin. and universities/scientific & tech parks. This contains a mix of CEO´s and founders of tech startups, spin-offs and innovative SMEs together with a range of people from across the ecosystem.

The 2020 edition managed to gather more than 300 keyplayers, more than 250 participating startups from 23 different countries that participated in activities such as pitch competitions, networking cocktails or 1-to-1 meetings with investors and corporations.

Where and when Startup OLÉ will be held?

Startup OLÉ 2021 will take place online and in person, in Salamanca, from September 6 to 10. The days 6th and 7th will be online and from 8th to 10th will be in person. It will be held in 4 different buildings: Colegio Arzobispo Fonseca, Hospedería Fonseca, I+D+i and San Blas Auditorium.

Is it possible to get a ticket as an attendee?

Due to the socio-sanitary situation in which we find ourselves, the event is focused on professional attendees.

Where can I watch the round tables and other content?

We will broadcast everything in our YouTube channels which will be open for everyone. All content will be accessible free of charge.

ONLY FOR ONSITE STARTUPS:

How it works: In a room in the buildings (you can see it in the agenda) the presentation will be loaded on a PC. The Master of Ceremonies will be in charge of naming each startup and their representative will go on stage and start their presentation.

ONLY FOR ONLINE STARTUPS:

How it works: The Master of Ceremonies will name each startup and their representative will activate the audio, video and share screen to show their presentation and present the pitch.

DATES

- You will be able to set up your stand from 12:00h CEST on the 7th of September.
- Start of the Startup Fair: 8th of September morning.
- Disassembly: 10th of September at midday.

INFORMATION FOR STARTUPS – MATCHMAKING ACTIVITY

HOW IT WORKS

- Investors access a database of all startups and select those they are interested in for a private meeting.
- They are currently making this selection.

DURATION OF EACH PRIVATE MEETING

15 minutes approx.

SCHEDULE

As the meetings are private, when the investors finalise their selection, you will receive an email with the schedule of your meetings.

ONLY FOR ONLINE STARTUPS

7th of September with investment funds participating both online and in person. It will be through Zoom Meetings that will be managed by the Startup OLÉ team.

ONLY FOR ON-SITE STARTUPS

- 9th of September with investment funds participating onsite.
- However, it is possible that the investment funds participating online will choose to meet with you on the 7th of September. Please keep this in mind so that you are available to attend these meetings if you are selected.

Where can I register as a participating startup?

You can register as a startup here. There you will find all the information about how to participate as a startup in the event, as well as the registration form.

Is there a deadline to register as a startup?

There is a registration deadline to participate, although this is being extended, we recommend keeping an eye on our website and social networks to find out when registration for startups is open.

If I attend in person, when is the set-up and take-down of the fair stand?

The stand will be set-up on Tuesday 7th from 12:00 to 20:00 (CEST).

The take-down of the stand will take place on September 9th.

How can I edit the pitch competition powerpoint?

You must download the template provided by Startup OLÉ here, once you have downloaded it you must modify it as necessary to adjust your presentation to the template we provide.

Is it necessary to attend in person?

Due to the socio-sanitary conditions it is not necessary to attend in person, Startup OLÉ offers specific platforms so that all the people who cannot attend the event can make a good networking.

How can I find my stand (startups & exhibitors)?

When the dates of the event get closer, we will publish the venues on the website in the following section, where you will be able to find where your stand or exhibitor is located.
